Red Bull Racing Formula One team principal, Christian Horner, has faced allegations of sending inappropriate messages to a female colleague. The texts, obtained by Page Six, included requests for selfies and comments about the woman’s attire and flexibility. Horner, who is married to Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell, allegedly asked the woman to send him pictures to “remind him” of her appearance in Spanx.
These revelations come after Horner was previously accused of coercive behavior towards another female subordinate, but was cleared following an investigation by Red Bull’s parent company. Despite the allegations, Horner has denied any wrongdoing. Reports suggest that Halliwell has been upset by the situation but believes her husband has not done anything wrong.
The singer is reportedly planning to support Horner at the 2024 Grand Prix, where he will be participating as the team principal of Red Bull Racing. The couple tied the knot in 2015 and share a son together, while both also have daughters from previous relationships.
As the F1 season begins, Horner’s alleged messages have sparked controversy and renewed focus on workplace behavior. While the investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing in this case, the situation has raised questions about the conduct of those in high positions within the sport.
