Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson Watch Eagles Game Live at the Emmys – NBC New York

Actor and “Welcome to Wrexham” star Rob McElhenney made headlines at the 2023 Emmys when he was caught multitasking, watching a Philadelphia Eagles playoff game on his phone while sitting next to his wife and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” costar Kaitlin Olson. The Philadelphia native tweeted a selfie of himself watching the game, expressing his frustration at the Emmys and the Eagles game being scheduled at the same time. McElhenney, along with Olson and their costars, are longtime fans of the Eagles and have even made guest appearances on a podcast by Eagles center Jason Kelce and his brother. Despite the distraction, McElhenney still managed to walk onstage an hour into the ceremony to present an Emmy Award to “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah.” This was just the latest in a series of successes for McElhenney, who recently won five Emmy Awards for his docuseries “Welcome to Wrexham” at the 2023 Creative Arts Emmys.
