Connecticut Mother Jennifer Dulos Officially Declared Dead by Judge, Four Years After Disappearance

Connecticut mother of five, Jennifer Dulos, has officially been declared dead four years after her disappearance. A judge, Dorien-New Caanan Probate Judge William P. Osterndorf, officially declared Dulos dead after extensive efforts failed to locate her body. Dulos was last seen dropping her children off at school and failed to show up at her mother’s home later in the day. Suspected blood evidence was found at her home, and her estranged husband Fotis Dulos was charged with her disappearance and connection to her presumed death. Dulos’ mother filed a petition for declaration of death to ensure the disposition of her estate as she had left all her assets to her children. Fotis Dulos was arrested in connection to Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance and later died in custody prior to his court trial. Fotis Dulos’ ex-girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, was also arrested in connection to her disappearance and was due to stand trial soon. The trial start date has been pushed to Jan. 11, 2023 due to jury issues. Dulos’ mother has been serving as a caregiver to her grandchildren, who are now between the ages of 13 and 17, since her daughter’s disappearance.
