On Friday afternoon, a 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck San Jose in Northern California at about 3:15 p.m. local time. The earthquake had an epicenter located about 5 miles northeast of Alum Rock, California, and was felt across the San Jose area. Alum Rock is situated about six miles east of San Jose. The temblor was recorded at a depth of approximately five miles, but there have been no reports of damages or injuries thus far.
