The Washington Nationals have won baseball’s Draft Lottery, giving them the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft. Potential top picks include Texas A&M outfielder Jace LaViolette, Florida State lefty Jamie Arnold, and Oklahoma high school third baseman Ethan Holliday. However, each of these players has some flaws that could impact their draft position. Other players such as Clemson center fielder Cam Cannarella, Indiana outfielder Devin Taylor, and UC-Santa Barbara right-hander Tyler Bremner, could rise to the top of draft boards with strong performances next year. The first-round draft order for 2025 includes the Nationals, Angels, Mariners, Rockies, Cardinals, and others. The draft is still seven months away, leaving room for players to improve their draft stock before the big day.
