“David Gail’s Cause of Death Revealed as Drug-Related”
The entertainment world was shocked when “Beverly Hills, 90210” star David Gail passed away last month at the age of 58. New details have now emerged revealing that his cause of death was drug-related. According to Gail’s publicist, the actor died from anoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, a brain injury resulting from a lack of blood, following resuscitation from cardiopulmonary arrest due to drug intoxication from substances such as amphetamines, cocaine, ethanol, and fentanyl.
Gail’s mother, Mary Painter, expressed her heartbreak over her son’s passing and spoke about his battle with pharmaceutical addiction, which began after multiple surgeries on his hands and wrists. Despite living in pain for almost a decade, Gail had tried to wean himself off pharmaceuticals and turn to alternative pain management methods before turning to self-medication.
Painter hopes that her son’s tragic death serves as a warning about the dangers of pharmaceutical addiction and the fentanyl epidemic. Gail’s sister, Katie, publicly announced his passing via Instagram, remembering him as her best friend and wingman.
Several of Gail’s “90210” co-stars, including Shannen Doherty, paid tribute to him on social media, highlighting the impact he had on their lives. Gail is survived by his son, Guthier, Katie, and his mother, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by fans and colleagues alike.
