Jonathan Majors Convicted of 2 Charges in Domestic Assault Trial

Actor Jonathan Majors was found guilty on two of four charges in his trial for domestic assault allegations. The jury found him guilty of 3rd degree assault and 2nd degree harassment, but not guilty of 2nd degree aggravated harassment and an additional 3rd degree assault charge. The judge set Majors’ sentencing for February 6 and issued a new order of protection barring him from any contact with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, who he was accused of assaulting and harassing. Majors faces up to a year in prison and was charged with assaulting and harassing Jabbari in Manhattan.

Jabbari testified that she saw a woman text Majors, leading to a physical altercation in which she was injured. Prosecutors argued that Majors had been abusive for months leading up to the altercation, while the defense claimed that Jabbari was the instigator that night. Majors, known for his roles in “Creed III” and Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” attended each day of the trial with his current girlfriend, Meagan Good, by his side, but did not take the stand.

The verdict has sparked widespread discussion and controversy, with some supporting Majors and others calling for justice for his ex-girlfriend. The outcome of the trial will have lasting implications for Majors’ career and personal life, as well as for the broader conversation around domestic assault and harassment. As the sentencing date approaches, the public will be watching closely to see what consequences Majors will face for his actions.
