The official auction for the ball was launched by the Dodgers on Dec. 2, and the bidding quickly rose from $21,000 to $25,000 as the sale approached its deadline. The ball was listed as the “Dropped Fly Ball by Aaron Judge” since Judge’s mistake allowed the Dodgers to turn the tide of the game. A total of 85 bids have been made on this historical ball, which holds great significance in the World Series history.
