Two men were killed in separate attacks in Flatbush, Brooklyn on Monday, with the perpetrators still at large, according to police. The first incident occurred around 10:21 a.m. when a 26-year-old man was stabbed in the chest on Flatbush Ave. He was taken to Kings County Hospital where he later died. The second attack happened at 4:06 p.m. on E. 32nd St. where a 28-year-old man was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.
In the first incident, the victim was involved in an argument with another male who stabbed him with a knife before fleeing the scene. In the second attack, the victim was involved in a fight with two males who shot him in the head before fleeing on foot. The descriptions of the assailants were provided by police sources.
A witness who lived on the same block described seeing the victim’s body in the street behind a car, noting that he appeared to be dead. The victim’s mother was seen wailing at the scene while other family members tried to console her. The witness described the events as “terrible” and expressed shock at the violence that occurred.
As of now, the perpetrators in both incidents remain unidentified and are being sought by police. The community in Flatbush is left mourning the loss of two lives and hoping for justice to be served in these senseless acts of violence.
