Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accused in a civil lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 – NBC New York

Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 along with Sean “Diddy” Combs. The lawsuit, originally filed in October and refiled to include Carter, was brought by an anonymous accuser referred to as “Jane Doe.” Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who filed the suit, did not provide a comment.

Jay-Z responded to the allegations in a statement, denouncing the heinous nature of the accusations and calling for real justice to be served if the claims are proven true. Meanwhile, Combs’ representatives have not yet responded to the requests for comment.

This is not the first time Buzbee has accused Combs of assault and rape in recent months. Combs is currently facing criminal charges in New York for racketeering, sex trafficking, and other offenses. Prosecutors are considering bringing more charges against him in a superseding indictment.

The lawsuit alleges that the assault took place at a house party after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000. The accuser claims she was offered drugs and alcohol at the party before being sexually assaulted by Carter and Combs. The accuser is seeking unspecified damages under New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.

Jay-Z has fiercely denied the accusations, calling a demand letter he received from the accuser’s attorneys a blackmail attempt. He has refused to settle and plans to expose Buzbee if necessary. The lawsuit raises serious allegations against these high-profile music industry figures, and the case is still developing.
