The NYPD has released new images of the man suspected of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and is seeking help from the public to identify the killer. The images show the suspect sitting in the back of a taxi and standing outside the vehicle less than an hour after the crime. The suspect fled the scene on an electric bicycle and then took a taxi to the George Washington Bridge bus terminal before leaving the city.
Detectives believe the shooter arrived in the city on a bus 10 days before the killing and fled shortly after the incident. The bullet shell casings found at the crime scene had inscriptions that some believe may be references to a book about insurance companies. Thompson was on his way to a meeting at the Hilton Hotel when he was killed.
The NYPD is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest, while the FBI has also offered a $50,000 reward now that it is believed the individual crossed state lines. Anyone with information is urged to come forward and help authorities solve this case.
