One of the Jane Does suing Sean “Diddy” Combs for sexual assault has been identified as Anna Kane, the ex-wife of hockey star Evander Kane, according to newly filed legal documents. Anna Kane had hoped to use a pseudonym in pursuing justice for the alleged assault that occurred when she was a 17-year-old high school junior from Detroit in 2003. Kane claims she was brought to a recording studio in New York City by Harve Pierre, then president of Diddy’s Bad Boy record label, where she was allegedly drugged and raped by multiple men, including Combs. Combs has denied wrongdoing and sought to have the suit dismissed, arguing it was filed too late under New York State law.
Despite efforts by Combs’ legal team to intimidate her, Kane has decided to reveal her identity and move forward with the lawsuit. Kane was previously married to NHL star Evander Kane, with whom she shares a daughter. Combs is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Kane’s case against Combs is a civil matter being pursued in the Southern District of New York, where she currently resides in Canada.
