Art Placement Expert Yvonne Force Villareal Creates Buzz with “Gossip Girl” and “Inventing Anna” Artwork Placements

Yvonne Force Villareal, a seasoned arts entrepreneur, is making waves in the entertainment industry with her firm, Culture Corps, which specializes in curating and placing artwork for TV shows, luxury hotels, and real estate projects. Most recently, Force Villareal and her business partner, Doreen Remen, sourced art for the reboot of “Gossip Girl” as if it were for a private client’s home.

In the popular streaming series “Inventing Anna,” which tells the story of high-profile fraudster Anna Delvey, played by Julia Garner, Force Villareal’s consultancy Culture Corps provided precise replicas of artwork by British artist Cecily Brown. This attention to detail and commitment to authenticity has caught the eye of producers like Shonda Rhimes, who is behind “Inventing Anna.”

Culture Corps has also worked on other hit shows like “Billions,” incorporating artwork by renowned artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gregory Crewdson, and Carla Klein. By collaborating with set designers and artists to place artwork that fits the characters and storylines of each show, Force Villareal is reshaping the way art is integrated into popular culture.

In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Force Villareal is a staunch advocate for women in the art world. She curated an exhibition by female artists in 2018 and recently spoke at a Women’s Power Series event aimed at empowering women in the arts. With a focus on expanding artists’ reach and income opportunities, Force Villareal is pioneering a new era of art placement that blurs the lines between TV, real estate, and fine art.
