Prince Harry and Meghan Markle donated $250,000 to President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden, to fund her women’s wellness center, The Post can confirm. The money was given to Biden’s Women’s Wellness (Spa)ce in Philadelphia last year, making it the largest donation from the Archewell Foundation that year. The Sussexes also received more than $5.3 million in grants, including a $5 million donation from five anonymous individuals.
The wellness center was created by Ashley Biden to support women who have experienced trauma, with the Archewell Foundation serving as a founding partner. The former royal couple has a close friendship with the Biden family, having previously worked together on projects like the Invictus Games. Meghan Markle, who has been rumored to have political aspirations, has also reportedly formed connections with top Democrats since relocating to the US in 2020.
Despite their philanthropic efforts, the Sussexes recently faced challenges within their foundation, with their chief of staff, Josh Kettler, resigning after just three months on the job. Kettler’s departure was announced right before a planned trip to Colombia with the couple. This marks the 18th staff member to resign in the past four years.
The Archewell Foundation’s tax return also revealed that nearly $790,000 was spent on salaries, highlighting some of the internal challenges the organization has faced. Overall, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to be active in their charitable endeavors, supporting causes that are important to them and forming meaningful partnerships within their community.
