Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy schedule meeting with House Republicans

Businessmen Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are set to meet with House Republicans to discuss cuts to federal government spending as part of their role leading the Department of Government Efficiency, appointed by President-Elect Donald Trump. The department is focused on dismantling bureaucracy, slashing regulations, cutting wasteful expenditures, and restructuring federal agencies to support the ‘Save America’ Movement. House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson announced he will host Musk and Ramaswamy on Capitol Hill on Dec. 5 to discuss regulatory rescissions, administrative reductions, and cost savings, with the goal of reviving the principle of limited government. Musk and Ramaswamy outlined their plan to oversee a massive reduction in the federal workforce to ensure agencies can perform their required functions. This meeting follows a previous closed-door discussion between Musk, Ramaswamy, and House Republicans in November, where Trump endorsed Johnson for a second term. The discussions are part of a broader effort to streamline government operations and cut unnecessary spending to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
