DeMarvion Overshown’s electrifying interception return leads Cowboys to Thanksgiving victory against Giants – NBC New York

DeMarvion Overshown led the Dallas Cowboys to a 27-20 victory over the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day. Overshown returned an interception for a touchdown, while Rico Dowdle ran for a score in his first 100-yard game. The Cowboys ended a six-game home losing streak with this win.

Drew Lock started for the Giants in place of the injured Tommy DeVito, but it wasn’t enough as the team suffered their seventh consecutive loss. Lock ran for a late touchdown, but it was too little too late. The Giants had their first lead since Week 5 before Overshown’s interception returned for a touchdown turned the game in Dallas’ favor.

Cooper Rush threw a touchdown pass for Dallas, landing his second win as a starter this season. Brandin Cooks also made a key play with a diving catch in the final two minutes to secure the win for the Cowboys.

Despite a strong performance by Lock, who was sacked six times, the Giants were unable to overpower the Cowboys. The Dallas defense played a significant role in keeping the team ahead, intercepting passes and recovering fumbles throughout the game.

This victory gives the Cowboys a much-needed boost after a five-game losing streak. With Dak Prescott out for the year, Cooper Rush has stepped up as the starting quarterback, leading the team to victory.

The Cowboys will look to build on this win as they head into the final stretch of the season, while the Giants will aim to bounce back from their eighth consecutive loss.
