Reports indicate Giants’ Drew Lock will start at QB against Cowboys as Tommy DeVito is injured.

Drew Lock will be starting as quarterback for the New York Giants on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys. The decision came after starting quarterback Tommy DeVito suffered a forearm injury and will be inactive for the upcoming game. Lock, who signed with the Giants this offseason, has appeared in three games this season but has yet to start in 2024. In his previous appearances, Lock has completed 4 of 9 pass attempts for nine yards. Lock, with a career record of 9-14 as a starter, has a total of 5,292 passing yards, a 59.5 completion percentage, 28 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions over his six seasons in the NFL with the Giants, Seattle Seahawks, and Denver Broncos. DeVito, who made his first start of the season last Sunday, completed 21 of 31 passes for 189 yards in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the Giants benched and released Daniel Jones. Giants’ coach Brian Daboll expressed hope that DeVito would be able to play in the team’s Week 13 matchup, but Lock has been tapped to take the field in his absence. The Giants, who have been struggling this season, hope that Lock will bring a spark to the team as they face off against their division rivals on Thanksgiving Day.
