Niagara Falls, NY — A tragic incident unfolded Monday night when 33-year-old Chaianti Means allegedly jumped into Niagara Falls with her two young children — 9-year-old Roman Rossman and a 5-month-old baby, Mecca Means. New York State Police received calls regarding the incident around 9 p.m., prompting an immediate response from park police and investigative units.
The incident took place near Goat Island, specifically between the Bridal Veil and Horseshoe Falls. Investigation findings indicated that the family had intentionally crossed over a safety guardrail and plunged into the falls from Luna Island, which is situated on the northern side of Goat Island. Major Stanley J. Edwards III of the New York State Police stated that authorities believe the actions were deliberate.
