NBC New York – Date, Time and How to Watch

After avoiding a sweep in the 2024 World Series, the New York Yankees are looking to make a historic comeback against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Yankees secured an 11-4 victory in Game 4 at Yankee Stadium, earning themselves one more home game in the Fall Classic. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win the World Series, but the Yankees are hoping to change that narrative.

Game 5 between the Yankees and the Dodgers is set for Wednesday, October 30th at 8:08 p.m. ET. The matchup will feature a pitching rematch from Game 1, with Jack Flaherty taking the mound for the Dodgers and Gerrit Cole on the mound for the Yankees. The action will be televised on Fox and available for streaming on FoxSports.com as well as the Fox Sports app.

While the odds are stacked against them, the Yankees are drawing inspiration from the 2004 Boston Red Sox, who famously overcame a 3-0 deficit in the ALCS against the Yankees before winning the World Series. With Game 6 and Game 7 (if necessary) scheduled to take place at Dodger Stadium, the Yankees are determined to make a historic comeback and potentially celebrate a World Series championship on enemy turf.
