Former President Donald Trump has stated that he had the right to interfere with the 2020 election he lost in an attempt to overturn the results. He has hinted that he may not accept the outcome of the 2024 election. Despite being out of office, Trump still has a group of supporters willing to assist him, including some who have been investigated and charged for their involvement in his unsuccessful efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Some of Trump’s former allies, such as Mark Meadows and Peter Navarro, are playing a lesser role in his current campaign. However, other figures from the MAGA World like Boris Epshteyn, Elon Musk, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Michael Roman, Steve Bannon, and Rudy Giuliani are actively involved in supporting Trump and promoting conspiracy theories related to the 2020 election and the upcoming 2024 election.
Boris Epshteyn, a political advisor and campaign operative, has been indicted for attempting to overturn Trump’s loss in Arizona in 2020. Elon Musk has become a full-blown campaign surrogate and financial backer for Trump, spreading conspiracy theories on social media. Roger Stone, a self-proclaimed “dirty trickster,” has been involved in promoting election conspiracy theories and suggesting violent actions to dispute election results. Michael Flynn has continued to spread conspiracy theories about the election and has suggested violence if the election outcome is not favorable. Michael Roman and Rudy Giuliani have also been indicted for their alleged roles in election fraud. Steve Bannon’s influential podcast reaches millions and continues to fuel false claims of election fraud.
These figures are actively involved in promoting Trump’s campaign for the 2024 election and spreading misinformation about the electoral process.
