NJ police officer accused of misconduct and stalking teenage girls – NBC New York

Manalapan Township police officer Kevin Ruditsky has been charged with a series of illegal offenses involving two teenage girls after an investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. The charges include engaging in official misconduct, computer criminal activity, endangering the welfare of a child, and impersonating a law enforcement officer while suspended from duty.

The investigation started in August 2023 when it was discovered that Ruditsky was sending inappropriate messages and photos to a 16-year-old girl. The misconduct allegedly began during the Manalapan Township National Night Out event, where Ruditsky allowed the victim to sit in his patrol car. Subsequently, he began sending explicit messages despite her age, even pulling her over, handcuffing her, and attempting to kiss her with his cameras turned off.

Additionally, Ruditsky is accused of sending inappropriate messages to another 17-year-old victim and conducting improper searches of both victims in a law enforcement database.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has urged anyone with information about the case to contact Detective Gregory Hilton II.

So far, there has been no response from Ruditsky’s attorney regarding the charges. NBC10 is following the story closely and will provide updates as they become available.
