On her 60th birthday, Democrat Kamala Harris will kick off the day with two church visits in Georgia to rally early voters, while her Republican rival Donald Trump will be spending time at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. Both candidates are focusing on key battleground states like Pennsylvania and Michigan as the election day approaches in just 16 days. Harris will be joined by music legend Stevie Wonder at one of the churches she plans to visit. She will also be participating in a “Souls to the Polls” initiative to mobilize voters with gospel performances and national and state faith leaders.
Harris, who was raised in the Black church, will speak at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and Divine Faith Ministries International to encourage worshippers to exercise their voting rights. Meanwhile, Trump is planning a rally in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and will be working at a McDonald’s restaurant to mock Harris, who he claims lied about working at McDonald’s in the past.
Both candidates are focused on securing strong results in key cities like Detroit and Atlanta in order to win crucial electoral votes. Trump is feeling confident in recent opinion polls that show a deadlocked race, while Harris remains determined to mobilize voters and secure victories in key states. The battleground state of Pennsylvania, with its significant electoral votes, will be crucial in determining the outcome of the election.
