Three individuals were killed and eight others were injured in a mass shooting that took place near a homecoming football game in Mississippi. The incident occurred near North Highway 17, just five minutes away from Lexington, Mississippi, following an altercation between young men during a trail ride celebration. The victims were airlifted to a hospital in Jackson while others were transported by ambulances. Authorities are actively searching for the suspects involved in the shooting, with assistance from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
The victims of the shooting were identified as Martel Gibson, Shundra Chestnut, and John Jenkins, all relatively young individuals.
