The issue of roles and sacrifices extends beyond Hart, as point guard Jalen Brunson also addressed family drama that spilled over onto the court during a preseason game. A disagreement involving assistant coach Rick Brunson and Donte DiVincenzo led to a postgame confrontation but was eventually resolved.
Despite the preseason challenges, the Knicks finished with a 4-1 record and will look to address role adjustments and potential lineup changes before the start of the regular season. Hart’s uncertainties and the team’s ability to adapt and find chemistry will be crucial to their success moving forward.
