Fatal accident involving parked tractor-trailer on Bronx Thruway claims driver’s life

A tragic accident in the Bronx resulted in the death of 40-year-old Edwin Seixas when he crashed into a parked tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 near Baychester Ave. The incident occurred at around 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, after the tractor-trailer had been involved in another collision. The tractor-trailer was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
Seixas, a resident of Norwalk, Connecticut, was driving a Dodge Journey at the time of the accident. Despite being rushed to Jacobi Medical Center by medics, he could not be saved.
The driver of the tractor-trailer involved in the previous collision was not injured in this incident. The cause of the initial crash and why the tractor-trailer was parked at the side of the thruway are currently under investigation by authorities.
