A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the back in a seemingly unprovoked attack outside Summons Court, just feet from One Police Plaza, according to police. The victim was standing in line outside the Municipal Building when the attacker approached him, said nothing, and stabbed him in the back just below his neck. The victim, who lives in Brooklyn and was supposed to answer a traffic summons, was taken to Bellevue Hospital and is expected to recover. The attacker, described as 6 feet tall wearing a dark-colored leather jacket and a brown or black hat, got away heading west on Reade St. The weapon was not recovered. This incident comes just four days after an innocent bystander was shot dead and another man was shot and wounded two blocks east of One Police Plaza. The shooter in that incident is still being sought by police. Authorities are asking anyone with information on either incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. All tips are confidential.
