An Air India flight headed for Chicago had to make an emergency landing in Canada due to an online threat. The Boeing 777-300ER had 211 people on board and landed at Iqaluit International Airport in Canada. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are investigating the incident, which was handled by the RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region’s Federal Arctic Unit. The flight had left New Dehli and was supposed to land at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, but was diverted to Canada. The flight had yet to depart from Canada as of 5 p.m. The airline stated that they have received several threats recently, all of which turned out to be hoaxes. Air India assured customers that they take all threats seriously and apologized for any inconvenience caused.
