The 2024-2025 NHL regular season is set to begin with a tripleheader on Tuesday, featuring matchups between the St. Louis Blues and Seattle Kraken, Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins, and Chicago Blackhawks and Utah Hockey Club. The season will consist of 1,312 games with each team playing 82 games, wrapping up on April 17.
Six Canadian teams will be in action the following day, with the Toronto Maple Leafs facing the Montreal Canadiens, Winnipeg Jets against the Edmonton Oilers, and the Calgary Flames taking on the Vancouver Canucks.
New Jersey Devils will have their first regular season game at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 10, while the New York Rangers will open their season on the road against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 9. The New York Islanders will face the Utah Hockey Club at home on Oct. 10.
