A thrilling new experience was unveiled on Tuesday at Rockefeller Center in New York City, offering visitors an opportunity to soar over 70 stories above the iconic skyline. Known as Skylift at Top of the Rock, the attraction allows guests to journey up to the 70th floor on a glass-fenced and rotating platform, providing breathtaking 360-degree views of the city.
NBC New York had the chance to tour the attraction before it opened to the public, with Senior Managing Director EB Kelly describing Skylift as the pinnacle of the reimagined Top of the Rock Observation Deck. The design includes LED pixel flutes and pays homage to the Art Deco architecture of Rockefeller Center.
Tickets for Skylift start at $35 per person and can be added on to an Express Pass or Top of the Rock General Admission ticket. Visitors have praised the experience, with tourist James Simmons from England expressing feeling like a part of the city while standing 900 feet in the air.
During the day, guests can enjoy stunning panoramic views, while at night, a vibrant light show illuminates the installation. Skylift offers a unique and thrilling way to experience the beauty of the New York City skyline.
