A 31-year-old man was fatally shot in the chest and leg on a Queens street on Sunday morning, police reported. The incident occurred near Merrick Blvd. and 126th Ave. in St. Albans at around 6:15 a.m. The victim was rushed to Jamaica Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. The perpetrator escaped in a dark-colored sedan and is still at large, according to authorities.
This shooting took place only a short distance from the killing of 23-year-old Jevaughn Jeminson, who was shot 13 times outside the Pure Lounge on April 8, 2023. One suspect, Christopher King, 31, was apprehended in Georgia on August 14, 2023, while the second suspect, Jhavaughn Pinnock, is currently being sought by law enforcement.
