Former Massachusetts high school teacher Primo “Howie” Leung, who is currently serving a six to seven year sentence for raping a student in 2015 and 2016, has been indicted on 39 new charges in New Hampshire. The charges include 16 counts of felonious sexual assault, penetration, with victims between 13 and 15, as well as criminal restraint, witness tampering and falsifying physical evidence. These charges stem from incidents dating back to October 2014. It is unknown if the alleged crimes are connected to previous investigations.
In the original case in Massachusetts, Leung used his position as an educator to groom a 13-year-old student, encouraging her to attend a summer camp for English language learners where he raped her. He pleaded guilty to aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 last year.
Leung is set to appear for a bail hearing on October 7th. The new charges in New Hampshire come just over a year after his guilty plea in the Massachusetts case. The continuation of legal proceedings against Leung underscores the serious nature of the crimes he is accused of committing.
