In a bizarre incident in Queens, two individuals managed to sneak onto an empty subway train at the Briarwood station in the early hours of Thursday morning. Police reported that the suspects, a man and a woman, briefly operated the train before causing a collision and damaging the locomotive. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The suspects fled the scene after the crash, with the man wearing a blue tank top and red shorts, carrying a black backpack, and the woman wearing a pink shower cap, sleeveless shirt, and shorts, carrying a pink handbag.
It remains unclear how the pair managed to access and operate the subway train. The NYPD is seeking any information related to the incident and has asked the public to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline with any details.
The images of the suspects have been released to aid in their identification. The public is encouraged to reach out to authorities if they have any information on the individuals involved in the train theft.
