The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service are investigating suspicious packages that were sent to election officials in over 15 states. Election offices in Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Wyoming received suspicious packages with unknown substances, some of which had a return address labeled as the “US Traitor Elimination Army.” Other states that received suspicious packages include Kansas. The packages were received within a short time frame and one package sent to Nebraska contained white powder. However, a field test found no hazardous materials in the substances on the packages. The FBI has been contacted for further information on the investigation. Officials are planning to conduct additional testing on the suspicious packages. The investigation is ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
