Police are searching for a suspect who assaulted a subway rider in Manhattan after making anti-LGBTQ remarks. The 29-year-old victim was punched in the face on a northbound A train on August 17 and the attacker fled when the train stopped at 59th St. – Columbus Circle station. The victim was taken to Columbia University Irving Medical Center for treatment. Surveillance images of the suspect have been released by the police and the attack is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Taskforce.
