Kesha subtly weighed in on the collaboration, hinting at Perry’s involvement with Dr. Luke. Perry had previously denied any sexual relationship with the producer in court documents. Despite the backlash, Perry emphasized that she makes music that resonates with her and makes her happy. “I don’t feel like I have to make music. I don’t feel like I have to prove anything. I’m doing it now from a place of celebration and love,” she said. This collaboration with Dr. Luke is the first time they have worked together since Perry’s hit “Part of Me” in 2012.
