Actress Jenna Ortega recently set the record straight regarding rumors that she had a serious relationship with Johnny Depp. During a BuzzFeed interview, the “Wednesday” star laughed off the claims, stating that she had never even met Depp before. The rumor originated from a gossip blog in August 2023, linking Ortega and Depp together while working on Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” Both Ortega and Depp denied the rumors, with Depp’s rep emphasizing that there was no personal or professional relationship between the two.
Ortega, who has been private about her love life, shared in a previous interview that she is happily single and that relationships stress her out. On the other hand, Depp is reportedly dating Russian model Yulia Vlasova. Despite the rumors, Depp is not expected to be in the “Beetlejuice” sequel directed by Burton, set to release on Sept. 6. Ortega plays the role of Astrid Deetz, Winona Ryder’s daughter, in the upcoming film, alongside returning actors Michael Keaton and Catherine O’Hara.
