A heartbreaking story has unfolded in Queens, where 11 dogs and two cats were rescued from a home in Rockaways. Cory Elder, the 43-year-old homeowner, was arrested and now faces multiple charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance and neglecting the animals.
The animals have been taken to the ASPCA for evaluations, as many were underweight, dehydrated, and in need of medical care.
